Linguini with Ouzo & Shrimp

Made with Linguini

Ingredients:

  • 1 Pack Triumph Linguini
  • 8 Medium Shrimp Preferably Fresh
  • 3-4 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • ½ Chopped Onions
  • 1 Clove of Garlic
  • 1 Mild Bukovo
  • ¼ Cup of Ouzo
  • 400g Chopped Tomatoes
  • 2 Teaspoons Chopped Parsley
  • Salt
  • Freshly Ground Pepper

Method:

We clean the shrimp by removing only the shell from the body and we remove the intestine of each shrimp.

After heating the olive oil in a deep pan, sauté the chopped onion and the whole garlic clove on a high heat for 2 minutes, then add the shrimp and sauté for 1 minute on each side until they change color.

Season with salt and pepper, add the boukovo for a more spicy taste and quench with the ouzo, letting the alcohol to drain for 1-2 minutes.

After removing the shrimps on a covered plate, add the tomatoes and continue cooking for 7-8 minutes, then add the shrimps again to boil together with the sauce for 2 minutes.

Then, over a high heat, we add the cooked pasta into the pan with the shrimp and the sauce and stir for 1 minute.

When the sauce sets, sprinkle with the parsley and serve immediately!
