Ravioli with Halloumi Cheese
Ingredients:
- 4 Glasses Triumph Burgur Wheat
- 4 Glasses of Water
- 4 Spoons of Oil
- Salt
- Pepper
- Cinnamon
- 1 Chopped onion
For the Filling:
- 600g Minced Pork
- 4 Glasses Chopped Onions
- ¾ Glass of Oil
- Chopped Parsley
- Salt
- Pepper
- Cinnamon
- Frying oil
Method:
We add the water, oil, salt, pepper, cinnamon and onion in a pot and put them on medium heat.
Once they boil, take the pot off the heat and add the burgur wheat. Mix well until the water is absorbed.
Cover the pot with its lid and leave to cool for 3-3 ½ hours.
For the filling:
Saute the onion with the oil on a low heat. Add the minced meat, salt, pepper and cinnamon and cook on low heat until the minced meat is golden brown.
After adding the parsley, mix well for a few seconds and remove the mixture from the heat. Drain the minced meat and put it in a bowl.
Knead the burgur mixture well. Then we take little by little of the mixture and shape it into a ball. After wetting our fingers, we shape the ball to get a thin, cylindrical shape. Fill the gap with the filling and close the edges forming them as a point.
Fry the Koupes little by little in plenty of hot oil until they turn reddish.
