Fresh Pasta Dough
Ingredients:
- 200g Triumph Plain Flour 00
- 100ml water
Method:
We add the flour into a large mixing bowl.
Using a spoon, we make a well in the centre and pour slowly the lukewarm water.
We mix well together and add water accordingly to form our dough.
When our dough is ready, cover the bowl with clingfilm and chill in the fridge for 30 minutes.
We then lightly flour our workbench and remove the dough from the bowl.
To make the pasta we can use either a rolling pin or a pasta machine.
Using the tool of our choice, we work with the dough until it reaches the desired thickness.
Then using a wheel cutter, we can form the shape of our pasta. Also, we can use cookie cutters to give appropriate shape to our pasta if we are interested in filled pasta (e.g. Ravioli).
Finally, to cook our fresh pasta we bring water to the boil and cook the pasta for 2-3 minutes.
